Prehistoric Native American Caddo Tripod Pottery Bottle

Caddoan Culture Pottery Tripod Water Bottle. Type: Very lightly sand tempered dark brown. Vessel with Fine Engraved / Incised geometric designs with incised scroll designs and checked. Horizontal lines around the top of the body, similar to those of the Haley Engraved bottle type.

Above and Below the incised scroll designs are horizontal lines. 5" H x 6" D. Condition: While the bottle has an impressive appearance, it has received fairly extensive repairs / restoration to its base, which has been rebuilt and painted. Other areas of the bottle also appear to have received various levels of treatment.
