Yurok/Karok basket; believed to date from the late 19th or early 20th century. This basket comes from a California collectors estate that was filled with wonderful, very old examples of Native American material culture. Watch my listings for more items yet to be listed.

The size and refinement of this basket is simply amazing. Although not in the best condition, its an remarkable small survivor. Basket measures approximately 1 ½ x 2 perhaps one of the tiniest example extant. Condition: Some breaks and minor missing elements.

Please refer to listing photograph #5 with arrows that indicate the most significant damage; also, there are other small instances throughout. However, the colors are unfaded and crisp, and the object dispays nicely. Good things come in small packages!
