Native American beaded whistle - Lakota Sioux - Vintage. Total lenght: 20 (cm 51). Lenght excluding drops: 12 (cm 30,5). Diameter: 0.8 (2 cm). Sioux Lakota whistle, made of metal, covered with white, blue and red seed beads.

Decorated with two drops with final feathers painted blue at the base. Condition: dark patina from use and age but overall very good condition. In the old times whistles were used by dancers during the Sun dance ceremony. In more recent times they are used during the Pow wow, the gatherings where Natives meet, dance, and honor their cultures.
