Great look to this old degikup form Washoe coiled basket. The Washoe live on the east slope of the Sierra Nevada in Nevada and on the border of California. Nice size, shape, and age. It has a FABULOUS warm old patina and is truly one of the best of this genre' we've seen in a long long while. It has two prominent whirling logs designs as well as two additional possibly stylized insect designs. Made of a SINGLE willow rod coil it is wrapped with willow, red bud and devil's claw.
