Museum grade ration pouch made Indian brain tanned elk hide with the fur on the front and including the dew claws. The front section has wonderful flat style beadwork as well as hand made tin cones with horsehair and some nice old blue stroud trade cloth.

The larger pocket at the top is presumably for the important ration ticket and the smaller pocket may have held a personal item or "charm".
