Description: This basket shows beautiful form and patination with even stitchery and excellent craftsmanship and construction The design may indicate a gathering of snakes, perhaps a garter snake political caucus. The Yokuts homeland was in the California Central Valley and western Sierra foothills from Stockton to south of Visalia.
