Native American Utility Basket Woven Splint Carved Handles & Rim 15-1/4. This 19th century woven splint rectangular utility basket with carved bentwood handles and wrapped carved bentwood rim measures approximately 15-1/4" long x 12" x 8-1/4 high to the top of the carved bentwood handles. It shows a beautiful patina with traces of the original dyed coloring to the splint, as shown in ther photos. There are NO repairs and NO restorations. The carved bentwood rim shows a portion of loss to the wrap, as shown in the photos.

The basket shows age appropriate wear with losses of small splint, mostly in the corners, as shown in the photos. This wonderful 19th century Native American woven splint utility basket would be a wonderful addition to any antique basket collection.
