Wide, and it is made of rawhide with a native tanned hide front and sinew sewn beads. Bead colors are white background with white-heart reds, cobalt blue, and grass green, and there is a row of tin cones between the upper and lower design elements. This piece is in original untouched condition with just a very few beads missing and a couple of the tin cones missing, but just enough to attest to it. There is good wear and patina to the rawhide back, and the twisted sinew belt loop appears to be the original also. This was found in New England, and it is fresh from an old collection of Native American items.
