RARE EARLY YUPIK ESKIMO DRIFTWOOD SNOW GLASSES! This extremely rare artifact was collected in 1945 with a rare dance mask exhibited in the last photo and most likely dates to the 19th century. This is a investment grade, EXTREMELY RARE and definitely museum quality item. These Eskimo snow goggles were hand carved from driftwood by early Alaskan Yupik native traditional wood carvers and treated with pitch on the inside to prevent snow blindness. The ties are braided natural sweet grass. These goggles are the best example I've seen for many years. 5 × 1.5 and formed and contoured to fit an adult face. Please see my other Artic items. The item "RARE Antique Yupik Eskimo Inuit Artifact Alaska, Alaskan, c1800 Snow Goggles" is in sale since Monday, September 10, 2018.
