Original old Jukes Coulson & Co camp knife or sometimes called a chief's knife. Original rawhide parfleche sheath, sewn with tanned buck skin. Buffalo horn handle in excellent condition. 2 Large brass rivets hold the tang to the grip. Large, thick, and heavy blade.
Good patina on the blade. Some age and wear on the handle as pictured. This knife was popular among the fur trappers and traders of the fur trade era. Indians were also fond of the knife and would trade for it.The surface of the metal shows a nice patina. 13 1/2" long, 9" long blade. Originates from a Billings Montana estate.
