The totem features an Eagle, salmon and bear imagery and is a model Eli referred to as a "Good Luck Totem ". Beautifully carved and painted in great old and original pigments. The totem stands 6" Tall with a square base measuring 2 1/8" x 2 1/8 and is in excellent condition for its age with no repairs or damages and excellent well preserved paints. See illustration #57 for a pole with identical imagery illustrated.In The photo on page 96 that shows Eli carving and at his bench with a group of totems you can make out one that bears the same imagery on the bottom shelf beside his right hand. One of the nicest Eli Tait poles that we've had the pleasure to own.
