A fine old Northwest Coast Tlingit Indian hand carved and painted cedar totem pole dating from the early 1900's. The totem features well carved and painted imagery featuring a seated bear, raven and another bear on the bottom. Deeply carved and finely painted in original red, black and green.
The totem stands 10" tall x2" wide and is stamped on the reverse Nugget Shop Jewelry and Curios from Wallie 1930 to the back. The Nugget shop was a famous curio shop that operated in Juneau in the early 1900's. The totem makes an impressive display item and a fine addition to anyone's collection.
