A fine large old East Coast hand carved cedar totem pole dating from the early 1900's. The totem has a great folk art feel with great imaginative imagery and features, an Owl on the top and a flying owl carved base, with birds and intertwined humans on the shaft.
Great large size standing an impressive 24 1/2" tall with a 9 1/2" wingspan, the flying owl form base measures 11" x 4". There is an old museum collection number on the base "1J22". The totem has a great aged patina and is in very good condition for its age.
