EARLY 20TH CENTURY INUIT SMALL ULU WITH CARIBOU ANTLER HAFT. An early 20th century Inuit ulu or woman's knife with a spring steel blade, probably made from a saw blade, and a handle made from a piece of caribou antler. The handle is held in place with two iron rivets. There is some rust on the blade. Its age is clear from observing the way moisture has leeched rust into the antler material around the rivets and where the blade is fitted.
