Original old Huron dag knife, paddle handle. Lots of brass hardware and pins. Jukes Coulson with crown mark on the blade.
In 1768 Jukes Coulson was listed in the first London Directory as Iron Merchants. The name was changed to Jukes Coulson, Stokes in 1870 when Thomas Newton Stokes joined the company, so this knife is early to mid 1800's. They produced many blades, knives, and cutting tools for export to North America during the fur trade era. Belongs in a museum or advanced collection. As rare as the come.
