This is a very unusual bracelet to find in an old English Estate clearance but its where its just turned up from, the metal is marked and tested as Sterling Silver and each of the Western themed charms is set with a small turquoise stone except the Chaps which look like it was set with a stone originally but its been lost a long while. There is an Indian axe & arrow head plus also other western or Cowboy type items all modeled in Sterling Silver. It looks to be from the early 20th century but could also be a touch earlier? What I do know is that its very old and must be unusual? Its very delicate in the way its been made and its a genuine original Bracelet not a modern copy.
Weight: approx 27 grams so just shy of an ounce. Size: approx 17.3 cm long. Please look at the images closely as they represent an important part of the description, thanks.
I have been told that this was issued to a nurse called Mary Elizabeth Shimmin of the British red cross, which makes sense now but its the first WW1 medal I have heard of to a nurse so I wasnt expecting that, hope the added info helps, I would think with added reasearch it is possible to find out about this lady?
