This item measures approximately 25" Tall x 20" Wide. It is made from a single piece of very thick hide, likely buffalo hump. It is well used and has many contact marks which is evidence the piece may have seen battle. It is in good condition considering its age.
The hide is stiff and holds a curved, turtle shell shape. It is trimmed in green cloth and has remnants of the original painted design.A green snake and a red snake appear to be in battle with many dots surrounding.
