Several very nice rugs and other Native American items. Please see my auctions for the entire collection. Appears it is a ceremonial front apron with a sash that ties behind the neck. Heavily beaded with great colorful glass beads and awesome designs. Entire item is backed with old cloth or corduroy.
Has several bells hanging from the front. Leather pieces on the sides as seen in the photos. Overall condition is very nice for its age.
No bead loss, no tears, structurally sound, no repairs and no rips. One of the pieces that a bells hangs from has separated, but can easily be repaired. The front part of the item measures 17" by 13" not including the side leather pieces or hanging medallions. The sash straps measures approx.
16" long by 3 3/8" wide. Appears it might be from the Cherokee Tribe. If you have any information on the item, I would appreciate any help. Rare authentic Native American item and is a must for any collector. Found safely stored away for years at a recent 90 year estate.
Please check my other auctions for other antique and vintage original Indian items from the same estate. The glare spots are from the lights reflection and NOT on the actual surface of the item. Tough item to find and is a must for any collector.
See detailed photos of the rug to see exactly what you are getting.
