The pipe tomahawk is in excellent condition with no repairs or damage. The head is hammer forged and has an excellent patina on all exposed surfaces. Very nice forged quillon hooks on each side of the head.Bowl is a typical early style. The shoulder and bowl have been hot forge welded onto the head. Traditional authentic 18th century style. Nice sawtooth style haft, hand carved by the Indian. Ash haft is original to the head. There is a single "shoulder" with drilled hole for attaching drops or beads. VERY NICE patina all over, really shows its age! The forged head is a very desirable style with the large quillon. Conservatively dated to 1860 but may be earlier. The haft of the tomahawk is measuring 24" long and the head is measuring about 10" long. Please ask any questions you may have. Thank you so much for looking!
