He was manufactured sometime between the 1500 - 1600's (or older), by a shaman. The material out of which this figure was manufactured is probably about +1000 years old. His legs were broken off a long time ago.... The two small holes under the figure's mouth represent labrets. Behind the head of the figure are remnants of a loop - which suggests this figure was used as a necklace's pendant.
The attention to detail of the animal claw like hands is a very nice feature this figure is probably an animal-human animistic creature of some kind? Just examine photos for best description...
Heavy glossy patina upon the surface indicates the piece was extensively handled by its maker/wearer. A superb and very rare specimen!
